Birdseye Kingman Turquoise Cuff By Guy Hoskie
Wow, what a gorgeous cuff! This handmade antiqued sterling silver cuff is made and signed by Navajo master artist Guy Hoskie. The captivating center stone is a high-grade Birdseye Kingman Turquoise from the Kingman Mine in Arizona. The stone shows areas of light blue circled with dark blue areas and tan to dark brown matrix throughout. Measuring 0.71" long and 1.18" wide, the stone is set in a smooth bezel housing surrounded by twist silver rope and silver drops. On each side of the gemstone are heart-shaped orange Spiny Oyster Shell specimens and small round Sleeping Beauty Turquoise stones. The thick silver cuff has wonderful hand stamped designs and fluted silver drops. It measures 0.87" wide at the center has an inside measurement of 5.70" with a 0.94" opening. Cuff size can adjusted gently and slightly.
Guy Hoskie is 54 years old. He resides in Arizona and is married with two sons, both of whom are serving in the armed forces. He has been an amazing silversmith for eighteen to twenty years. He learned from close relatives, the Cadmans and Reeves. He is well known for the quality of his pieces. He uses fine natural turquoise with heavy stamp work.
