Tiffany Stone Pendant By Bea Tom
This beautiful handmade sterling silver pendant is made and signed by Navajo artist Bea Tom. It features an incredible piece of Tiffany Stone that shows shades of dark purple, lavendar and creamy white. Also known as bertrandite or opal flourite. The stone comes from a mine in Utah where the rocks are harvested for their beryllium content, used in missile nose cones. The mine is closed to outsiders and most of the rocks go straight to the crushers, making it very rare and valuable. The stones have a wide range of color including purples, pinks, oranges, yellows, reds and whites. The pendant measures 1.10" long (measured without the bail) and 0.77" wide. It has a large bail that measures 0.47" long.
