Multi-Gemstone Inlay Navajo Cuff
Extraordinary and unique! This handmade heavy gauge sterling silver cuff is made by a Navajo native american artist. The beautiful combination of inlaid gemstones include different types of Turquoise (King's Manassa, Kingman, Sleeping Beauty, Royston), Spiny Oyster Shell, Lapis Lazuli, white Agate, caramel Agate, Abalone, Malachite and pink Coral. This comfortable bracelet also has inlaid Lapis Lazuli on the inside of the cuff. The cuff measures 0.66" wide at the center, has an inside measurement of 5.20" and an opening of 1.35". Fit for a man with a smaller wrist size or a woman with a larger wrist.
Great craftsmanship and artistry is all represented in this exquisite bracelet! This style of inlay is called cobblestone or cornrow inlay. Besides cutting the stones so that they fit into an intricate pattern, the artist must also bevel each stone on every edge.
This requires great skill and time and investment in materials. You can easily see why this is sometimes referred to as cobblestone if you've ever seen a cobblestone street in an old historic section of a US city or abroad. Native American artists often call it cornrow inlay because in some patterns, the rows resemble corn kernels on a cob.
