This lovely handmade sterling silver hair clip is made by Navajo artist Martha Cayatineto. It has a Turquoise gemstone that is a light aqua shade with some grey matrix. The stone is set in a smooth bezel housing surrounded by twist silver rope and traditional Navajo hand stamped designs finished in a lovely antiqued patina. It measures 1.55" long and 2.97" wide. Great quality and craftsmanship!

Martha Cayatineto is from Crownpoint, New Mexico. Her later mother was Marie S. Cayatineto of the Towering House People Clan for the Red Running into the Water People Clan. Her father Tom Cayatineto is a traditional Navajo medicine man.
